I served in the United States Military for 26 years. I took the oath of enlistment to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I intend to protect everyone´s civil rights and liberties with the same honor and passion. This is a responsibility that I take seriously. I will work to prevent discrimination and promote an environment that is conducive to building trust and relationships based on merit and not color, gender, race, or sexual preferences. I will work to ensure equal pay regardless of gender; we must erase the gender pay gap. I will work against government overreach and protect the privacy of all Americans. Privacy must be protected at all costs.
